Result Date & Time — How It’s Calculated

• CBSE has NOT officially confirmed the exact result date/time as of now
• Historically, CBSE Class 12 Compartment results are declared 15–20 days after the theory examination
• In previous years, CBSE has typically announced results in the evening hours (around 3 PM–5 PM IST) on the declared date
• Once officially confirmed, CBSE announces the exact date and time through an official notice on cbse.gov.in and via press release, usually just 1–2 days in advance

How to Check CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Result 2026

• Visit the official CBSE result portal — results.cbse.nic.in
• Click on the link “CBSE Class 12 Supplementary/Compartment Result 2026”
• Enter your Roll Number, School Number, Centre Number, and Date of Birth
• Enter the Admit Card ID if prompted
• Click “Submit” to view your result
• Download and save the result/provisional marksheet for future reference

Alternative Ways to Check: Results will also be available via DigiLocker, the national results.gov.in portal, and the Umang App. Schools can also log in with their credentials to download consolidated results for all their compartment students.

Note: Students who clear their compartment subject(s) will receive an updated/consolidated marksheet reflecting their final pass status for Class 12.

Who Appeared for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026

• Students placed in the “Compartment” category in the main Class 12 result (failed in only one or two subjects)
• Students who wanted to improve their marks in a subject, where permitted under CBSE rules
• Students appearing for the compartment exam for the third time are treated as private candidates as per CBSE norms

What Happens After the Supplementary Result

• If you PASS the compartment subject: You are declared successfully passed in Class 12 overall, and can proceed with college admissions using your updated marksheet
• If you FAIL the compartment subject: You will need to reappear as a private candidate in the next available board exam cycle for that subject; the third attempt onward is treated under private candidature rules
• Students who pass the compartment exam scoring at least 33% can also apply to government colleges for undergraduate admission based on their updated result, subject to that college/university’s specific admission deadlines
• Keep both your original marksheet and the updated compartment marksheet safe, as some admission processes may require both

• Website not loading due to heavy traffic: Try alternate portals like DigiLocker, results.gov.in, or the Umang App instead of only results.cbse.nic.in
• “Details Not Found” error: Double-check your Roll Number, School Number, Centre Number, and DOB for typos — these must match exactly as per your admit card
• Result shows a discrepancy in marks: Contact your school first; schools can raise queries with the CBSE Regional Office on the student’s behalf
• Result not out on the expected date: CBSE sometimes shifts the exact declaration date/time by a day or two — keep checking the official CBSE website/social channels for the latest confirmed update
